I am very sorry but I have to totally disagree with your entire article. Due to the economy in Mexico and the instability of the government there I would stay the heck out of Mexico including the tourist destinations. Drug dealers have taken over that country and according to the CIA Mexico is the #2 threat to the USA behind Terrorism. Sorry to disagree.

Puerto Viarta is beautifull, I was there on vacation and would love to own real estate there. Its fun but not nasty like Cancoon, is it difficult to own in mexico?

While Puerto Vallarta is beautiful, for those of you looking to invest internationally, Ajijic is quite something also. I work in Ajijic real estate. Ajijic is a small town located on the largest lake in Mexico,Lake Chapala. Ajijic (over the last 10 years) has become one of the most talked about retirement communities for Canadians and Americans worldwide, and has been rated top 5 best climates in the world! It is located approximately 4-5 hours from Puerto Vallarta, and has a much quiter lifestyle. Both are beautiful places to live, just different.
