There are several builders stopping construction bec. of sharp downturn. Always investigate the local vacancy rate and historical vacancy rate. Strive to invest in areas with the lowest rates. Also always invest conservatively. Leave a buffer in case units are vacant.

Great blog and have to back you up 100% that bids for renovations should come BEFORE the decision to purchase. To do otherwise can make an investment that looks great on paper a nightmare in ownership reality!
