  1. Mike Brown Said,

I’ve got no beef with Canon, but I have to voice my opinion on the perfect camera for Realtors. As a Realtor you should have a camera with an ultra wide angle lens. I shoot with a Nikon D70 and a Sigma 10 – 20mm lens and I often sell homes significantly faster because of the image quality and the fact that you can get the whole room into the frame with the 10mm lens. Do your clients a favor and shoot with a wide angle lens. The $700 for the lens will quickly pay for itself!

    Hi Mike,
I agree. I have a Kinoca Minolta and purchased a $600 11-20mm lens to shoot interior photos. It makes the rooms look very large (even in small rooms) and allows the clients to see a large portion of the room without distorting the images like a fish-eye lens. They are expensive, but well worth it.

  3. Denver Larry Said,

Canon actually makes a wide angle lens camera that works great for real estate.

I bought the SD 800 about a year ago and it has nice wide angle lens with very little distortion for the price..only $350.

It fits in your pocket and gives excellent photos for such a ‘casual camera’. Sometimes its better to have a casual camera with you whenyou are not expecting just the right photo for your blog
